Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our tree care services.
How much does tree removal cost?
The cost varies based on tree size, location, complexity, and accessibility. Small trees may cost a few hundred dollars while large trees requiring crane work can be more. We provide free on-site estimates so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Clark's Tree Care LLC carries full general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. We're happy to provide proof of insurance upon request.

How long does tree removal take?
Most residential tree removals can be completed in a single day. Larger or more complex jobs may take 2-3 days. We'll give you a timeline estimate during your free consultation.
How deep do you grind stumps?
We typically grind stumps 6-12 inches below grade, which is deep enough to plant grass or new landscaping over the area. We can go deeper for specific needs like construction.
Do you clean up after the job?
Absolutely. Full cleanup is included in every job. We remove all debris, rake the area, and leave your property looking better than we found it.
Do you work with insurance companies?
Yes. For storm damage situations, we can work directly with your insurance company and provide all necessary documentation, photos, and estimates to help with your claim.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Waxhaw, NC and serve the greater Charlotte area including Charlotte, Monroe, Indian Trail, Matthews, Mint Hill, and Lancaster, SC.
When is the best time to trim trees?
Late winter to early spring (before new growth) is ideal for most species. However, dead or hazardous branches should be removed immediately regardless of season. We can advise on the best timing for your specific trees.
Do I need a permit for tree removal?
Permit requirements vary by municipality. Some areas in Charlotte and Union County require permits for removing trees above a certain size. We can help you determine if a permit is needed and assist with the process.
